Hana is a photographer and visual artist based in New York City and Los Angeles.  She partners with brands, talent and “everyday people” looking to tell their story or capture something unique about themselves through photographs.  As the Great-Grandchild of the legendary photographer Long Chin San, known today in the West as “the Ansel Adams of China,” photography is literally in her blood.  Her passion is creating multidimensional dreamscapes that capture the beauty (and sometimes even the absurdity) of being.

Hana has been shooting professionally since age 16 when she was sidelined from her first passion, dance, with an injury.  From age 6 through University, she was a competitive dancer in various disciplines, including contemporary, jazz and lyrical.  She was also fortunate to be a member of one of the country’s top dance teams, instilling in her characteristics that would propel her along as a photographer - diligence, teamwork and creative expression.  Dance also provided Hana the opportunity to choreograph extensively, a skill that translated perfectly to working with clients in her photography business.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Film from Pepperdine University, where she was also a dancer and choreographer in Pepperdine’s dance company.

Hana’s multi-faceted background in the arts has helped her build a reputation as a photographer who is equally comfortable in front of the lens as behind it.  She has performed in music videos, brand advertising and other artists’ visual art installations.  Her well-rounded background in the arts enables her to work with clients to quickly understand their vision, and then bring to life the expression, essence or narrative they want to convey through visual art.
